What it does
The
HashHashA one-way function that maps data of any size to a fixed-length digest. Same input, same digest; any change, different digest; not reversible.
Type Identifier inspects a hash string’s length and character set to rank the algorithms that could have produced it - MD5, SHA-1/2/3, BLAKE, CRC32, NTLM, bcrypt, Argon2, and more. Several algorithms share output lengths, so the tool lists every plausible candidate in a ranked list instead of guessing one. 100% client-side.How to use it

(or tap a Try: chip - each chip is a real digest of the stringcosmolabs). - Read the Length, Charset, and Bit length stats, then the ranked Likely algorithms list. The
#1row is the most common algorithm for that shape. - Copy report copies the ranked list as plain text, and the

Good to know
- Heuristic only: length and charset are clues, not proof. Every 64-hex digest could be SHA-256 or SHA3-256 - only re-
