Image Converter
What it does
Converts images between PNG, JPEG and WebP using your browser’s native encoders. Drop one file or a whole batch, pick the target format and (for JPEG/WebP) a quality level, and convert. Each result shows the size change so you can see whether the conversion actually saved bytes. JPEG output flattens transparency onto white — PNG and WebP keep it.
Everything runs locally; your images never leave the page.
How to use
- Drop one or more images.
- Choose the target format; adjust quality if you picked JPEG or WebP.
- Press Convert and save the results.
Remove individual files from the strip before converting if you change your mind.
Examples
A 2.4 MB PNG screenshot converted to WebP at quality 85 typically lands
around 300–500 KB — the result row shows the exact delta (for example
2.4 MB → 380.2 KB · −84%).
Converting a transparent logo to JPEG flattens it onto a white background; choose PNG or WebP to keep transparency.
Good to know
- WebP usually gives the smallest files at the same visual quality; JPEG is the compatibility fallback; PNG is lossless with alpha.
- Animated GIFs convert as their first frame — use the GIF frame extractor for full sequences.
- The size delta turns red when the target format is larger than the source (a small JPEG re-encoded as PNG, say) — that is expected, not an error.
