Image Splitter
What it does
Cuts one image into an even rows × columns grid of PNG tiles. A live preview
shows the cut lines as you adjust the grid, and the tiles export with
row-column names (image-2x3.png is row 2, column 3) individually or as a
bulk download.
Local-only, like every tool here — the image never uploads.
How to use
- Drop an image.
- Set rows and columns (1-20 each) and watch the preview.
- Press Split, then download the tiles you need or all of them.
Examples
A 1024×1024 image split 2×2 yields four 512×512 tiles. A 1920×1080 screenshot split 1×3 yields three 640×1080 vertical slices.
Good to know
- Tiles are even-sized: the rightmost column and bottom row absorb any rounding remainder by cropping (at most rows−1 / cols−1 pixels).
- Output is always PNG per tile regardless of the source format.
- For extracting frames from an animation, use the GIF Frame Extractor instead.
